At Bell Haven, the cottages are nestled beneath the spreading branches of oak, incense cedar, maple and redwood trees. Whether you're heading to the beach or the rec room, or visiting a friend in a different cottage, you'll enjoy your walk on winding paths through ferns, periwinkle and wide green lawns as head to the beach. While the entire lakefront compound covers over three acres, some of the specific areas you may wish to learn more about include: The Beach: From in front of Heron House, the front lawn rolls towards the water, past a huge oak tree. Often used for games of volleyball, croquet and badminton, there's plenty of room for laying in the sun or rocking on a glider while you look out over the dock. The beach area includes a swimming area to the left of the pier. The Pier: Nearly 200 feet, the recently constructed pier stretches over the shallows of Soda Bay into Clear Lake, with the floating dock providing space for several boats and personal watercraft, while swimming off the end of the dock is a summer pastime. With fresh water and electrical outlets on the pier, fisherman, skiers and recreational boaters are all at home here. The Rec Room: Remodeled and professionally decorated in 2004, the rec room is the center of the compound, boasting a wood stove for the cool months and comfortable seating area, a large table for cards or impromptu group meals, and a pool table that's the center of attention for many of the older children that call Bell Haven their "lake place."
